Cue:Lisa Stansfield “All Around The World” Being born and raised in “the D”, I’ve come across a few very proud Detroiters. Wait,You know what? “Proud” may not even be a strong enough word….. I recall someone saying once, “I breathe this city”, Dang!That’s a strong statement. And I suppose every city has chesty residents like this. Utter one bad word about their stomping grounds, you better be ready for a serious battle. I feel prideful of my hometown too at times. |

Cue: Kanye West "Workout Plan"  It's 2:01am on Jan 2, 2012.And just like clockwork, the fitness and weight loss clubs have welcomed us to the new year with nonstop ads of ‘$0 enrollment fee - as low as $10/month - free childrens play area’ , topped with Jennifer's, Janet's and Mariah's new figures flaunted to motivated the masses. Anything to get us in the door, right? Just before I began to write a few minutes ago, I put a bottled water in the fridge to get cold and plugged up my ipod to charge because yes, I too need a seat on the wagon. |
